Gulf Paper Manufacturing Company - Hosted By gccceconomy
Gulf Paper Manufacturing Company is the first paper manufacturing company in the Gulf. It was established in 1979 with a capital of 3 million Kuwaiti dinars (later increased to 3,500,000 KWD). The establishment of Gulf Paper Manufacturing Company in 1979 was a response to the logical reasons imposed by extensive studies that preceded its operation, regarding the urgent and growing need, both in the Gulf states and in the Middle and Far East, for raw materials used in the paper industry. Production began with a production capacity of 20,000 tons, and the company’s actual production began in 1982. Production capacity increased to 25,000 tons in 1991.
The production lines were developed since 1997 with the addition of a new product, white cardboard. The lines were redeveloped again during the years (2000 – 2007 – 2010 – 2015) to reach a production capacity of 70,000 tons, as well as in terms of production quality.
