Founded in 2008 as a joint venture between Oman Cables Industry SAOG and Takamul Investments Co SAOC, OAPIL has played a vital role in advancing Oman’s industrialization efforts.

Since its first commercial production in July 2010, OAPIL has become a key player in the power transmission sector, serving international markets. With a strong focus on customer centricity, OAPIL is committed to delivering innovative, high-quality solutions that meet the specific needs of its global clientele.

Since December 2019, OAPIL is 100% owned by Oman Cables Industry SAOG.

OAPIL has a capacity to produce 56,000 Tons of Aluminium Rods and part of the capacity is used to produce further value- added products in Oman. OAPIL is located close to Sohar port– Oman’s largest deep seaport with free zone/ industrial cluster. OAPIL is strategically located in front of Sohar Aluminium Company (SAC) that supplies liquid metal.

OAPIL Exports its products to 40+ countries across 5 different continents – Africa, Europe, North America, South America and Asia.
